Kent Bartram - Operations Director

Kent serves as C.A.R.E.’s Operations Director, overseeing our volunteers, training, and day-to-day Adoption Center activities. Prior to joining C.A.R.E., Kent was Executive Director of the all-volunteer Chicago Gay Men's Chorus and prior to that managed the volunteer and training programs at the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust. Raised in a cat foster household, other relevant experience includes a stint in vet tech in high school, facilities management and adaptive reuse of buildings similar to the Adoption Center, and operating successful retail service businesses in Chicago. Outside his duties at C.A.R.E., Kent is working on a book about Jacqueline Onassis' first cousin, Edith Bouvier Beale - or "Little Edie" of Grey Gardens and subject of a celebrated documentary, Broadway musical and HBO film.
