Luca (now Freddie)

Luca came to us with bad Cataracts that we knew would cause him to be blind soon after he arrived at the shelter. His family knew all of the information and insisted on paying for his medical bills and when we wanted to waive the adoption fee, they insisted on donating an equal amount. We are so lucky to have such wonderful families that adopt from us.

An update from his family: Freddie has been with us for about 9 months now and last month, he nailed learning how to sit and give us his paw! For Freddie, the only place he’d rather be, besides begging in the kitchen, is under a cozy layer of blankets. Having Freddie has been nothing but amazing and rewarding. It’s so heartwarming to see how he has grown with our family and become more comfortable with us. When we first brought him home, he preferred sleeping on the couch, but now, he loves to cuddle on silk sheets surrounded by blankets and pillows. We are so grateful to CARE for giving us this opportunity to give Freddie a new chance at life.
