What Does your Donation Help with?
-
Medical care is C.A.R.E.’s largest expense. All of C.A.R.E.’s dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies need basic vet care (vaccinations, medications, etc.), and most need to be neutered or spayed. But pets who have been abused and neglected frequently need specialized veterinary care and surgeries, and increasingly these animals are finding their way to our Adoption Center. C.A.R.E. has good relationships with local veterinarians who provide primary care for our dogs and cats at discounted rates, but we are not immune to the high costs of specialty care that can easily run into thousands of dollars for a single animal.
-
Our goal is to rescue and rehome more animals each year and that means that we need more donations to provide the care these animals need - from specialized food and supplements, recreational opportunities to provide exercise, toys and projects to provide mental stimulation, to training to help make them more attractive to potential adopters.
-
Given the increasing costs for pet food and supplies and exponential growth in the number of clients we now serve, we need additional financial contributions to augment the donations we receive from pet food stores. Your support will enable struggling families to continue to keep and care for pets in their homes.
