Portillo & Bailey (now Sammy & Frank)
Portillo had been spotted alone, huddled in the middle of Dempster Avenue in Niles when he was only about 4 months old. Many people called the Niles police for help and the animal control officer came out and found him in the bushes outside of Portillo's. No one knows how he got there.
Bailey was found by a trapper on the southwest side of Chicago. Since Bailey was similar in age to Portillo and, since they both needed a buddy, and since they looked so cute together(!), they were paired up. They did not need much of an introductory period. They adored each other from day one.
Their foster loved fostering these two and is so grateful that CARE took them in and found them a wonderful forever home.
Happy Tails:
An update from their family: Bailey & Portillo (aka Sammy & Frank) love sitting in their cat tree, chasing the laser pointer, and playing soccer with tomatoes from our garden
